Sundays at Noon: Stanford Festival Concert
Hugh Lane Gallery
Featuring Annalisa Monticelli (piano), Gavan Ring (tenor) and Berginald Rash (clarinet) the Stanford Society are delighted to present a concert of songs, arias and works for clarinet by Charles Villiers Stanford. In addition to featuring works from some of Stanford's collections of Irish folk melodies and The Veiled Prophet of Khorassan, audiences will be treated to Stanford's Sonata no.1 for clarinet and his Intermezzo for clarinet and piano.
As part of the centenary celebrations of the death of Charles Villiers Stanford (1852-1924) we are delighted that the Stanford Society will present their annual Stanford Festival in Dublin this year.
