The Esker Festival Orchestra is delighted to announce that it will be meeting again this summer from June 26th to July 3rd. This summer we continue expand as we perform our first concert in Belfast and feature our first collaboration with The Galway Music Residency and the Galway ConTempo Quartet who, along with members of the RTÉ Concert and Symphony Orchestras will provide tutoring to the the members of the orchestra. From the 26th to the 30th of June we will once again be resident in the incredible surrounds of NUI Galway where the musicians will stay and rehearse and have access to their wonderful facilities.
The main part of our program this year will be rehearsal and performances of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, the Mozart G Major Flute Concerto with rising star and winner of the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year 2015 Competition Miriam Kaczor and once again a new work premiered the orchestra.
