Through his use of black humor, avant-garde novelist, playwright, and poet Samuel Beckett captures the spirit of post-modernity and the mundane that plagues mankind leaving him with more questions than answers, and few shades of gray and light. This concert capitulates to these ideas through asymmetrical pairings and open-ended resolution to present a kaleidoscope of music and pathos that could surely find it’s place within the “theatre of the absurd.”
